Vintage Notes

  • Harvest Date: 15th April 2006
  • Brix: 24.5 – 25.8 Brix
  • Fermentation: 100% French oak, 10% new
  • Alcohol: 14%
  • Titratable Acidity: 8.75 g/l
  • pH: 3.30

Tasting Notes

The vintage of 2006 was characterized by high levels of ripeness and flavor development punctuated with high levels of natural acidity.  The resulting wine was made in a fruit driven style with restraint and complexity with tropical and savoury aromatics and citrus flavours.  This tightly coiled Chardonnay has the elegance of high acidity balanced by concentration and tannin structure with intense structure on the finish of the wine.  While satisfying in its youth this is a wine suitable for long term ageing.

  • Fermentation: 100% French oak
  • Alcohol: 14%
  • Titratable Acidity: 7.7 g/l
  • pH: 3.33

Tasting Notes

The 2007 vintage was low cropped and harvested in excellent condition with elegant fruit characters and natural acidity.  The resulting wine has complex savory aromatics layered over fresh tropical fruits.  Flavors of citrus and passionfruit with an appealing lushness mid-palate, grapefruit tonic finish and a fine focused acidity to the end.  A very elegant wine made in a fruit driven style with restraint and complexity.  While satisfying in its youth this is a wine suitable for long term ageing.
