Welcome to The Old Glenmark Vicarage,

 a historic New Zealand landmark in the heart of the Waipara Wine Valley.

Built in 1906, The Vicarage is a beautiful example of late 19th-century architecture set amongst 100+year old trees and established grounds. The house overlooks our boutique vineyard. Small quantities of each vintage are handcrafted at our neighbours' winery by a team with a passion for quality craftsmanship, wines of distinction and an impressive list of awards and medals.

We offer 2 choices of accommodation: ​

• The Vicarage Barn - stand-alone and fully self-contained, The Barn has a unique character complemented with modern facilities, private spa pool, outdoor swimming pool and fire pit. The Vicarage Barn is the ideal place for couples, family or groups of friends to get away from it all.

• The Old Glenmark Vicarage – homestay with your New Zealand hosts Damian and Janette in the historic Vicarage, all rooms provided with a king-sized bed, private en-suite and in-room continental breakfast.

The Old Glenmark Vicarage also provides a unique venue for functions, events and private occasions. We are within an easy 45 minutes distance of Christchurch and the international airport. 

​

We are also part of the Waipara Valley cycle trail and have bikes for hire. 

Enjoy a ride/walk around the trail which will take you past 4 wineries, with tastings and lunch options.
